How do I work out what material I can bend in my vees?

Generally this is worked out using an 8:1 die ratio i.e. if you are bend 3mm material, 8 x 3mm = 24 so you should be using a 24mm vee. On thinner material 3mm and under you can also use a 6 :1 ratio. With thicker material generally the ratio is increase to either 10 or 12:1 i.e. if you are bending 10mm material, 10 x 10 = 100 so you should be using a 100mm vee.

What are the advantages if single vee dies against multi vee die?

With a single vee die the vee is always close to the edge allowing production of 'Z' bends. They are also made in sections and easy to pick up.
